Wellbeing Café and Support Group

Every Friday afternoon we run wellbeing activities for young people in School Years 7-13. These activities are run as a partnership between Cambourne Youth Partnership, Cambourne Church and Romsey Mill.

The Café and the Support Group both meet at the Cambourne Church building (Jeavons Lane, Cambourne, CB23 6AF).

Wellbeing Café
This runs from 3.15-4.15pm and is a drop-in session for any young person who would like a safe place to come and receive informal wellbeing support. There are several different spaces set up, including conversation tables, a comfy seating area to chill in, a creative zone and an area for serving refreshments. Young people are welcome to come on their own or with friends. There's no pressure to talk about anything in particular, but there is space to chat to the youth workers about any aspect of wellbeing.

Wellbeing Support Group
After the drop-in session, from 4.30-5.15pm, we run a series of courses which young people can sign up to attend. Each course runs for 6 weeks with a limited number of spaces, and they cover a range of topics relating to wellbeing. Young people can self-refer or they can be referred by someone else (e.g. parent, teacher, GP or other professionals).

We are now partnering with Cambridge Acorn Project to have a therapeutic practitioner at each of these sessions.
Here are the details of upcoming courses:

Topic: Exam Stress
Dates: 15th March - 22nd March 2024; 20th April - 17th May 2024
Referral Form: Not required
